Ben Krompak, a Democratic candidate for the Lucas County Board of Commissioners, said yesterday he wants to promote a "green corridor" with the University of Toledo and other area institutions to attract more venture capital and research dollars.
"By embracing new ideas, we can prepare more workers to succeed in high-tech careers and help scientists and researchers to turn new discoveries into new jobs," he said.
