Traffic-enforcement blitz starts Friday in Oregon

Oregon police will hold a citywide traffic enforcement blitz that is timed for the area proms, starting Friday.

The blitz will target speed violations, failure to wear safety belts, and aggressive driving.

Sponsored by a state grant, the overtime effort will focus on State Rt. 2, State Rt. 51, Starr Avenue, South Wheeling Street, Coy Road, and Pickle Road, police said.
