The body of a man in his late 20s was found in a creek in West Toledo, just south of Ottawa Hills, by a neighbor yesterday, authorities said.
Authorities said the man, whose identity they did not release, had an altercation with his girlfriend in his home about 7:30 a.m. He left the house, jumped a neighbor's fence, ran down an embankment, and ended up in the creek, Lucas County Coroner's Investigator Steve Kahle said.
The body was in three feet of water behind 2014 Circle Drive. The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:39 p.m.
