Crystal Bowersox may sing at Mud Hens' game next week

Crystal Bowersox, one of four finalists on American Idol, could be back in Toledo to sing The Star Spangled Banner at Friday's Mud Hens game — if she doesn't get voted out next week.

The 24-year-old singer from nearby Elliston, Ohio, has agreed to sing the national anthem before the Hens' game against the Indianapolis Indians

The game starts at 7 p.m. at Fifth Third Field, according to Scott Jeffer, the Hens' assistant general manager/marketing.

Limited seating and standing-room tickets are still available for the game, which also happens to be the first Fireworks Night of the season, Mr. Jeffer said.
