Comment from the public is the next step in the Toledo Board of Education's search for its next superintendent.
An informational meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday in the board room of the Thurgood Marshall Building, 420 East Manhattan Blvd. Cheryl Ryan of the Ohio School Boards Association, who is helping the district in the search, is to moderate the meeting.
Ms. Ryan and school board members will meet to screen applicants. Afterward, interviews for potential candidates will be scheduled, district officials said.
The school board hopes to name a superintendent in early June to succeed John Foley, who in November declined a one-year extension to his three-year contract. His contract expires July 31.
