FOSTORIA — Canadian-owned Uniboard Fostoria Inc. announced yesterday it will close its North Main Street plant Oct. 1, putting its 30 employees out of work.
The plant makes laminate particle board for kitchen cabinets, shelving, and cabinetry casework. The work will be moved to one of the firm's three other U.S. plants. Workers are being offered jobs at a company plant in North Carolina.
