The owners of a South Toledo landmark theater and a Cincinnati industrial giant have been fined separately by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for alleged safety violations found during inspections in April.
Stranahan Theater Trust was fined $10,500 for three serious violations of worker-safety rules at its Heatherdowns Boulevard facility, including failure to ensure workers were protected from fall hazards.
Procter & Gamble Inc. was fined $25,200 for seven serious and three other violations of worker-safety rules at its plant on Reservoir Road in Lima, including failing to protect workers from hazards caused by caustic chemicals.
The fines and violations can be appealed by the companies.
