BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green's Public Works department announced several lane closures that will affect traffic this week.
Thurstin Street between Merry and Frazee avenues will be closed to through traffic throughout the week to allow for utility work at Bowling Green State University. The road is scheduled to be reopened by the end of the day Friday.
The intersection of Sand Ridge Road and Kenwood Avenue will be closed Monday while the city's Water Distribution Division makes repairs to a fire hydrant. Kenwood School will be accessible from Dixie Highway or by taking Napoleon Road to Kenwood.
Work will continue on North Main Street between Oak Street and Dill Avenue. Intermittent lane closures and single-lane travel will be imposed, causing possible delays. The closures are a result of an ongoing street improvement project.
