Elmore fund-raiser set for Wood Co. Library

BOWLING GREEN — Tickets still are available for an evening fund-raiser at Schedel Gardens in Elmore to benefit the Wood County District Public Library.

The July 22 event includes garden tours from 4:40 p.m. to 6 p.m., and silent and live auctions and refreshments from 6 to 8. Tickets are $100 each and may be purchased at the library, 251 North Main St.

Library officials said sponsors have underwritten the cost of the event so all proceeds from ticket sales will be used for library materials. The library has cut purchasing, hours, and staff to balance its budget after cuts in state library funding.
