Dublin, Ohio, boater's body found in lake
PORT CLINTON — The body of the boater who was reported missing in Lake Erie Saturday was found Monday.
The Coast Guard responded to a call that a body had been found around 7 a.m. The Coast Guard recovered the body near Port Clinton and identified it as Gregory Shaw, 64, of Dublin, Ohio. The victim went under the boat Saturday afternoon to disentangle a line caught in the propeller and drifted away in the rough water, according to the Marblehead Coast Guard.
He had recently sold the 26-foot sailboat and was showing it to new owners when he disappeared in the water.
The Neidecker, Leveck, and Crosser Funeral Home transported the body to the Lucas County Coroner's Office for an autopsy. The case is still being investigated by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
