Man killed, woman hurt in motorcycle accident

FREMONT — A man was killed and a woman critically injured when their motorcycle wrecked in Sandusky County, authorities said.

The names of the victims were withheld pending notification of next of kin, Ohio Highway Patrol said.

About 11 p.m. Thursday, the motorcycle was northbound on County Road 128 just past Township Road 97 in Sandusky Township when the male driver lost control. The passengers were thrown from the motorcycle as the vehicle laid down. Shortly afterward, a pickup truck struck the male lying in the roadway, troopers said.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the motorcycle losing control, troopers said.
