Donor funds training for 2 EMT candidates
TIFFIN — Two people will be able to attend emergency medical service training thanks to a donation from the family of a deceased volunteer EMT from Bascom, Ohio.
Ken Majors, director of the Seneca County EMS, said Gail Roth donated $1,600 to the agency's education program in memory of her son, Richard Spencer. Mr. Spencer, 21, had just completed his EMT training when he died in an accident last year.
Those who complete the training will be asked to volunteer as EMTs in Seneca County for two years after they pass the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician Exam.
