Police investigate fatal East Toledo shooting

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old man in East Toledo early Sunday morning.

Gregory Cerveny was shot as he was driving by 2006 Genesee St., Toledo police said. He managed to drive a few blocks before he crashed the vehicle, collapsed, and died on Caledonia and Bogart streets before 4 a.m.

His death marks the 17th homicide in Toledo so far this year.
