Police search for robber of S&L branch in Sylvania
A man wearing sunglasses and a dark-color bandana over his face robbed the Sylvania branch of the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Delta, authorities said.
About 1:20 p.m. Thursday, the man came in the bank at 3234 North Holland-Sylvania Rd. and verbally demanded money from a teller.
After the teller complied, the robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, the FBI said. The agents did not say whether a weapon was seen during the robbery.
The robber appeared to be in his late 20s, of slim build, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighing about 165 pounds. Besides the bandana and the sunglasses, he was wearing a navy-blue hooded sweatshirt and khaki cargo pants.
