Hardin County crash kills two

Two men were killed in an early Sunday crash near Liberty Township in Hardin County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Gary Spradlin II, 18, of Kenton, Ohio, and his passenger, Anthony Hall, 20, of Ada, Ohio, were killed in the two-vehicle crash on County Rd. 50 at Township Rd. 55. The driver of the second vehicle, Thomas Lawrence, 37, of Alger Ohio was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital.

According to the patrol's Findlay post, Mr. Spradlin was southbound on Township Rd. 55 at about 3 a.m. Sunday when he failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by Mr. Lawrence's vehicle, which was traveling westbound on County Rd. 50. Mr. Srpadlin and Mr. Hall were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
