Court delays hearing in dispute over Packo's
A hearing set for Monday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to entertain a motion to place Tony Packo's Inc. under control of a court-appointed receiver has been rescheduled to Thursday.
The motion, filed earlier by Robin Horvath, the firm's chief operating officer and son of the late Nancy Packo Horvath, claims that management of the iconic restaurant chain is "hopelessly deadlocked" and a receiver is needed to run the company until an underlying dispute is resolved.
Mr. Horvath is suing the firm's president Tony Packo, Jr.; his son, Tony Packo III, manager of a subsidiary, and controller Cathleen Dooley, claiming they will not release records that Mr. Horvath alleges relate to more than $100,000 in questionable transactions made or authorized by the three defendants. The Packos are contesting the receivership motion.
