Bowling Green woman dies in 2-vehicle crash

PORTAGE, Ohio — A Bowling Green woman was killed and another person hurt in a two-vehicle crash at Liberty Hi Road and Greensburg Pike in Wood County's Liberty Township.

Troopers with the Bowling Green post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said that a car driven by Tony L. Smith, 44, of Weston, Ohio, was westbound on Greensburg Pike about 7:35 p.m. Wednesday when it failed to stop for a stop sign at Liberty Hi and struck a southbound station wagon that was driven by Leota Neal, 58, of Bowling Green.

Ms. Neal was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Smith was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, where he was listed in fair condition Thursday.

Troopers continued to investigate the crash Thursday.
