Two bike riders were shot Tuesday night while bicycling along Cherry Street near Mettler Street, Toledo police Sgt. William Wauford said.
Dorian Belcher, 16, was in serious condition Wednesday at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, a spokesman said.
Eric Saunders, 18, was listed as fair at the same hospital.
Sergeant Wauford said they were shot about 9:35 p.m. when at least one person in a tan, four-door vehicle started firing before speeding away.
Mr. Saunders was struck in the right knee; the Belcher youth was hit in the abdomen.
The teens made their way across Cherry to Central Catholic High School, where police and rescue crews found them.
The shooting may have been gang-related, Sergeant Wauford said.
