Nancy Pearl, an author, librarian, and National Public Radio commentator, will be the guest speaker Tuesday at two events in the Wood County Public Library.
The first event is at 2 p.m. in the meeting room of the library, 251 North Main St., Bowling Green, and is titled Pearl's Picks for Community Reads. Reservations are required, and there is a waiting list for this event.
The second program, Looking for the Next Good Read, is at 7 p.m. in the library's atrium. Registration is not required.
The appearances by Ms. Pearl are in conjunction with Community Reads 2010, celebrating seven years of residents of Wood County reading the same book. Ms. Pearl is credited with developing the nation's first one city, one book program for the Seattle Public Library.
