Lake Erie Transit recently took first place in a national marketing competition for its promotion of its “Butterfly Bus,” a decorated bus that raises awareness about the agency's use of hybrid engine technology.
The American Public Transit Association chose the LET entry for the Grand Award in the Special Event and Public Relations/Awareness category of its annual AdWheel competition for transit agencies with4 million or fewer annual riders. The award was presented during the APTA annual meeting last week in San Antonio.
The “Butterfly Bus” is one of three decorated, diesel hybrid buses Lake Erie Transit operates.
