Norwalk man in critical condition after single-vehicle crash

MILAN, Ohio — A Norwalk, Ohio man remained in critical condition early Monday after being injured in a single-vehicle crash,, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Benjamin Brutsche, 33, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, troopers at the patrol's Sandusky post said. A hospital spokesman said he was listed in critical condition.

Mr. Brutsche was driving north on Kelley Road south of Schug Road in Erie County's Milan Township about 7:20 a.m. Sunday when he failed to round a left curve, drove off the right side of the road, and sideswiped a traffic sign.
