A Toledo man who was walking home was shot several times by a gunman on a bicycle Sunday night, police said.
The victim, Charles Hardin, 34, was found on the street in front of 3247 Cambridge St. in the northern Old West End neighborhood with several gunshot wounds. Mr. Hardin lived in the area, police said.
He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. A spokesman said the hospital did not have a patient with that name.
Police said Mr. Hardin was walking home around 7:40 p.m. when a bicyclist approached him and opened fire. Police said witnesses described the gunman as between ages 15 and 20, with a small build, and wearing black.
