NAPOLEON -- A 53-year-old Hamler, Ohio, man was killed Friday night when the vehicle he was driving crashed into a bridge abutment southeast of here.
Jose Luis Mendoza was pronounced dead at the scene in Henry County's Harrison Township, sheriff's deputies said.
Mr. Mendoza was driving northbound on State Rt. 109, north of Henry County Road M, when his sport utility vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, drove partially into a large ditch, and then struck a private bridge abutment.
