Man, 64, who walked into car's path is killed

A western Lucas County man was killed Tuesday when he walked into the path of an oncoming car on Fulton-Lucas Road on the western side of the Fulton-Lucas County line.

Ronald Lumbrezer, 64, of Spencer Township was pronounced dead at the scene by Fulton County Coroner Dr. Harry Murtiff.

The Ohio Highway Patrol said Stephanie Kanneman, 37, of Amboy Township was southbound on Fulton-Lucas Road just south of Fulton County Road N, or Bancroft Street as it is known in Lucas County, about 7:15 a.m. when Mr. Lumbrezer walked into the path of her car and was hit in the southbound lane.

Ms. Kanneman was taken to Flower Hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
