Sobriety checkpoint location announced for Sandusky
SANDUSKY — Law enforcement agencies will stage a sobriety checkpoint Saturday night on Sandusky’s Perkins Avenue.
The checkpoint, which is funded by federal grants, is from 8 p.m. to midnight. It is hosted in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injuries and fatal crashes.
The State Highway Patrol, Erie County Sheriff’s Department, Sandusky Police, and Perkins Police will work the checkpoint.
Authorities encourage anyone who plans to consume alcohol to have a designated driver or make other arrangements before drinking.
Law enforcement is required to notify the public where such checkpoints will be staged.
