NW Ohio museums offer free admission to military, families
A number of museums in northwest Ohio are offering free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families from the Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
As part of the Blue Star Museums Program sponsored by Blue Star Families and the National Endowment for the Arts, active-duty service members, their spouses, and children can visit the participating museums at no cost.
Area museums that are participating include Fort Meigs in Perrysburg, the Fulton County Museum in Wauseon, the Wood County Historical Center in Bowling Green, the Merry-Go-Round Museum in Sandusky, the Milan Museum and the Thomas Edison birthplace, both in Milan, Ohio, and the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta.
Admission to the Toledo Museum of Art is always free.
