A natural gas main leak Tuesday morning closed East Central Avenue from Warsaw Street to Franklin Avenue in north Toledo, authorities said.
A Columbia Gas inspector discovered the leak in a 4-inch medium-pressure steel main about 8:50 a.m. while conducting a routine inspection, Chris Kozak, a utility spokesman, said.
About 30 minutes later, Toledo police closed the road to traffic.
Mr. Kozak said no utility customers were affected by the leak. The utility was expecting to complete the repairs by the end of he day, the spokesman said a short time before 11 a.m.
