Northwood 49, Cardinal Stritch 13
Northwood used a balanced attack to rout Cardinal Stritch and clinch a Toledo Area Athletic Conference title last night.
The host Rangers (9-1, 7-0 TAAC) used 12 ballcarriers and nine receivers to churn out 341 yards of total offense while holding the Cardinals (2-8, 2-5) to just 184.
Quarterback Nick Russell led the attack with two passing touchdowns and an 11-yard scoring run. Evan Perkins and Dustin Fullenlove hauled in touchdown passes of 10 yards and 15 yards.
The Rangers had rushing touchdowns from Stephen Fuller (23 yards), Perkins (one yard), Andrew Lord (two yards), and Ricky Hartley (nine yards).
For the Cardinals, Zach Demony had a 52-yard touchdown run, and Michael Blazevich added an eight-yard score.
