Nonprofits in B.G. gain grants of nearly $24,000
BOWLING GREEN — Nine local nonprofit organizations have been awarded almost $24,000 in grants from the Bowling Green Community Foundation, which annually makes awards to groups in the Bowling Green school district and Bowling Green ZIP code.
Recipients are the Bowling Green office of the American Red Cross, $5,000; Montessori School of Bowling Green, $4,700; Bowling Green State University athletic department, $4,600; Assistance Dogs of America, $2,500; Wood County District Public Library, $2,240; Bowling Green Pee Wee League, $2,000; Northwest Ohio Center for Excellence in STEM Education, $1,250; Historical Construction Equipment Association, $1,200, and Wood County Humane Society, $500.
In addition to the grants, the foundation also gave $2,000 in scholarships to Bowling Green High School seniors.
