Felled power lines cause outages, road closure

Wind-downed power lines Thursday caused power outages and a brief road closure on Front Street between Consaul and Bogar streets in East Toledo, authorities said. Eagle Academy was closed because of the outage. The Lucas County EMS said there were no injuries.

About 380 utility customers in the area reported power outages, utility spokesman Reggie Strauss said, after lines were downed when a utility pole was partially felled Thursday morning by winds. The utility restored power to all the customers within about five hours, the spokesman said.
