BLADE STAFF

MONROE — A trailer fell off a tractor-trailer rig early Tuesday, closing southbound I-75 to morning rush-hour traffic for about 3 1/2 hours, authorities said.

There were no injuries, according to Michigan state police.

The incident occurred about 5:50 a.m. near North Dixie Highway, troopers at the police Monroe post said.

Traffic on the interstate highway returned to normal about 9:30 a.m., a dispatcher at the post said.

Monroe is about 25 miles north of Toledo.
