Putnam County man killed in crash

CLOVERDALE, Ohio — A Putnam County man was killed Thursday when his vehicle went out of control, left the road, and struck a concrete culvert wall.

In a statement, Putnam County Sheriff James Beutler said that Eric Warnimont, 45, of Cloverdale was eastbound in the 21000 block of County Road M in Jackson Township about 6:15 p.m. when the crash occurred.

Kalida Fire Department rescue workers freed the man from his vehicle, and he was transported to Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf, Ohio, where he was pronounced dead.

Sheriff’s deputies and the Ohio Highway Patrol are investigating the crash, Sheriff Beutler said.

Cloverdale is about 55 miles southwest of Toledo.
