At least one person was injured in South Toledo in a single-car rollover crash that happened in the rain that flooded some streets today, authorities said.

The victim was transported by ground to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, with unknown injuries, according to the Lucas County EMS. The name and condition were not released.

The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. at Anthony Wayne Trail and South Detroit Avenue. The car crashed into a utility pole and came to rest on its roof.

Across the city, high water was reported at multiple locations, including areas along the Trail, South Detroit, South Fearing Boulevard, and Monroe Street, according to Toledo police and fire departments.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to last through the day, with new rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible, according to the National Weather Service. Some storms could carry large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain, with the chance of precipitation about 80 percent, according to the service.

The temperature could reach 73 degrees. East winds between 6 and 11 mph are expected.
