The Lucas County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday unanimously approved a resolution that will allow the Lucas County Dog Warden to immediately begin performing additional veterinary services for the public.
New services will include microchipping (at special events or optional for dogs redeemed by their owners) and rabies vaccine (optional for dogs redeemed by their owners, adopted, transferred to or for special events). Both of those services will cost $20.
The dog warden will also offer spay or neuter with microchip (optional for dogs redeemed by their owners and mandatory for dogs that are the legal property of the Dog Warden department and then reclaimed by their owners) at a cost of $85.
