2 graduates receive Rapson scholarships

MONROE -- Two just-graduated Monroe High School students are the recipients of the $500 Harold C. Rapson scholarships.

Anastasia Hall will attend Eastern Michigan University to study nursing and Yurid "Judy" Vasquez will go to Washtenaw Community College to study physical therapy.

The scholarships are awarded to former Lincoln Elementary School students. The former elementary was closed in 2009 and is to be demolished this summer. Any college-bound students who attended Lincoln can apply for the educational support.
