Council to discuss Lourdes project

Sylvania City Council is to meet today at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the Lourdes University expansion.

Two weeks ago, council members voted to delay a decision until more questions were answered.

The city planning commission has recommended approval of the 11.4-acre project on condition the plan is modified. The development would include an athletic center and would be between Convent Boulevard and Brint Road.

The committee is expected to take action on the proposal in council chambers, 6635 Maplewood Ave.
