Perrysburg event aims to recoup stolen funds

Organizers are planning a one-mile race later this summer to recoup money stolen from two Perrysburg school groups.

Toth Parents’ Club and the Perrysburg Elementary Parents’ Association are sponsoring the one-mile race/walk from 8 a.m. to noon, Aug. 25. The event starts at the Commodore Building, 140 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg.

News anchor Jeff Smith from WTVG-TV, Channel 13 will be the master of ceremonies.

Kiki Lorann, 35, of Perrysburg, is charged with three counts of grand theft and one count of simple theft, accused of stealing about $140,000 from the parents’ association, the Toth group, and the Perrysburg Sting Baseball Team over three years. She pleaded not guilty this month in Wood County Common Pleas Court.
