Lunch break in Central Toledo

Kim Gfell, produce manager for The Andersons, helps peel the oranges in children’s lunches at Ebenezer Early Childhood Learning Center on Ashland Avenue. Tuesday’s meal was part of the Summer Food Program that provides free lunches at about 100 Toledo sites to thousands of children who get free lunches during the school year. In its initial weeks in June, it provided 28,428 such meals.
