Commissioners approve tax break for expansion

BOWLING GREEN — Wood County commissioners on Thursday approved a 10-year, 100 percent property tax abatement for a Perrysburg Township business that plans to expand.

Northwood Industries, which provides machining and engineering services, is planning a 12,000-square-foot, $750,000 expansion at its facility in Cedar Business Center. The project will allow the company to add four full-time workers and retain its 18 workers, officials said.

As part of the enterprise zone agreement, Northwood Industries is to pay Rossford schools $6,700 a year for 10 years and make a one-time payment of $6,160 to Penta Career Center.
