Erie County firm plans to add 150 jobs


HURON, Ohio -- An Erie County auto parts supplier has announced plans to add nearly 150 new jobs over the next three years.

International Automotive Components Huron LLC will also invest $5 million in its plant.

Officials with the Erie County Economic Development Corporation said they along with Team Northeast Ohio, Huron city officials, the state, and JobsOhio helped prepare an incentive package to offer to IAC.

The plant employs 593 people, and is the largest employer in Huron and fifth-largest employer in Erie County.

IAC Group, based in Luxembourg, operates 76 manufacturing facilities in 16 countries employing 23,000 people.
