BOWLING GREEN -- The Wood County Historical Center and Museum has hired Holly Uppal as its new curator.
Ms. Uppal, former archivist for Mercy College of Ohio and Mercy Hospital of Tiffin, also worked for five years in the Historical Resources department at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich. She holds a bachelor’s degree in American history from Kent State University and a master’s degree in public history/material culture from the University of Toledo.
In her new position, Ms. Uppal will oversee collection and preservation efforts at Wood County’s local history museum. She replaces Randy Brown, who recently left the museum.
The public is invited to meet her at “Cultures of Wood County,” a free, public event featuring ethnic music, dancing, and storytelling set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 16 at the museum.
