Gamblers visiting Hollywood Casino Toledo wagered $168.2 million in August, down from $189.1 million in July.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission released its monthly statewide casino gambling report today. The numbers show overall wagering last month at Ohio’s two Las Vegas-style casinos dropped about 9 percent from July.

In Toledo, wagering in slot machines and at table games both fell about 11 percent.

The commission said Penn National Gaming — the operator of Hollywood Toledo — posted a gross revenue after payouts of $17.4 million for the month.

The state’s other operating casino, Horseshoe Casino in downtown Cleveland, posted a gross revenue after payouts of $22.8 million.
