Toledo police to hold auction of vehicles

The Toledo Police Department is to hold a vehicle auction Saturday with about 80 cars, trucks, and motorcycles up for sale.

The vehicles were either abandoned or forfeited, police said. Registration is to start at 9 a.m. Saturday; the auction, at the Toledo Police Impound Lot, 198 Dura Ave., is to start at 11 a.m.

At the last vehicle auction in April, the department sold 87 vehicles, plus seven accessory items, for a total of $194,075.

Auction proceeds go to the Law Enforcement Trust Fund.
