The state board of education voted Tuesday to release some of the school report card information it has withheld pending a state auditor’s investigation of attendance-data manipulation in some districts.
The Department of Education will release school and district ratings, attendance rates, and performance index scores, which are a cumulative weighted average of scores for all grades.
The data will be released during the middle of next week, according to an Education Department news release.
Toledo Public Schools was among several major Ohio districts that withdrew, then re-enrolled, chronically truant students so that their test scores did not count toward the districts’ performance scores.
The report-card data that will be released is still preliminary and subject to change, a department spokesman said.
