The children were taken for "precautionary evaluations," police said.

Police report that the bus was stopped at a railroad crossing at about 8:50 a.m., at West Elm Avenue and Toll Street, when it was rear-ended.

The driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, reported minor injuries, police said.

Monroe police ask that anyone with information about the crash call Cpl. Kent Jeppesen at 734-243-7500.
