Holiday closing schedule for New Year's eve, day

Toledo, state, and federal offices will be closed Tuesday for New Year’s Day, as will city offices in Perrysburg and Rossford. City offices in Maumee will close at noon Monday and be closed all day New Year’s Day. Oregon city offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

All deputy registrar locations of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles will be closed Tuesday, but they may be closed or offer limited services Monday, so it’s best to call ahead.

A list of select businesses and services follows:

Public utilities

Toledo’s Department of Public Utilities will be closed Tuesday, as will Toledo Edison and its parent company, FirstEnergy. Columbia Gas will be closed Monday and Tuesday; emergency services will be available for Toledo Edison and Columbia Gas customers.

Retail centers

Westfield Franklin Park mall and Fallen Timbers will be open Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Levis Commons will be open Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Westfield Franklin Park mall, Fallen Timbers, and Levis Commons will be open Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Trash pickup

Refuse collection will be delayed one day for Toledo residents; collection in other communities will vary.

Libraries

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library downtown and all branches will close at 5:30 p.m. Monday and be closed all day Tuesday.

Mail services

Post offices will be closed Tuesday; mail will not be delivered.

Bus services

Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a normal schedule Monday and a holiday schedule Tuesday.

Parking

Parking meters in downtown Toledo will be free Tuesday only.
