Dogs come a long way to find home

Barry, left, and Viktor gather together after their drive over from Pittsburgh to receive treats from a staff member Thursday afternoon at the Toledo Area Humane Society in Maumee. Originally from Louisiana, the two "pitbull"-type dogs were displaced by Hurricane Isaac and, later, by Hurricane Sandy. They were delivered to Toledo from Pittsburgh by the Humane Society of the United States’ Emergency Placement Program.
