Cat show opens today at college

MONROE — The Cat Fanciers’ Association will hold an all-breed and household pet cat show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday at Monroe County Community College, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd.

The show will feature two days of judged competition in 10 rings of 225 cats. Breeds represented include Persians, Maine Coons, Orientals, Birmans, Tonkinese, Ragdolls, Siamese, and Bombays. The show is sponsored by the Midwest Persian Tabby Fanciers, a local cat club.

Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 6.
