BOWLING GREEN — Wood County commissioners on Wednesday elected James Carter as president of the board of commissioners.
Doris I. Herringshaw, who was recently appointed, was elected vice president.
The board meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and hosts open forums on those days following regular business, during which residents can come in and speak to the board without scheduling meeting times.
The board also plans to schedule town hall meetings at different locations throughout the county.
