Traffic was moving slowly on sleet-covered roads across Northwest Ohio and South East Michigan today as a storm front moved into the area, bringing snow and freezing rain.

Area law enforcement agencies reported numerous spin-offs and fender-benders in the early morning but there were no reports of road closures or injury crashes.

Most area schools, however, either closed or announced two-hour delays. To see the list of schools, go to www.toledoblade.com/schoolclosing.

At 8 a.m. today, the National Weather Service reported freezing rain and fog at the Toledo Express Airport, with winds of 9 mph and a temperature of 23 degrees.

Today's forecast has snow, freezing rain, and sleet as likely before noon, then a chance of drizzle. It will be cloudy, with a high near 33, and a chance of precipitation of 60 percent. The area could get up to 3 inches of snow and sleet, according to the forecast.
